An incredibly relaxing few days on Kawau island in what's got to be one of the best holiday homes on the island. A short stroll around the bay and up a little track to arrive at the house with outstanding views across two bays. It was pretty special waking up to the sound of native birds and not much else. With no cars, shops, and very few people you feel isolated in the best possible way and with various bush trails and the DOC reserve a short walk from our base it really was a special break.
