A perfect family place. The kids adored the animals and loved feeding Dudley, the kuna pig, who vacuumed up all our food scraps. He probably put on weight while we were there. Highly atmospheric beach and cliff top close by for evening walks. About 20 minutes drive from Abel Tasman NP and about an hour's drive from Flora Hut walks in Kahurangi NP. Lovely sense of bucolic isolation, though supermarkets are only a few minutes away. Relaxing, comfortable place for a holiday.
This is a wonderful place to stay. We enjoyed the beautiful garden, organic eggs, stunning views to the Mt Arthur range and swimming every day at Ruby Bay. Our hosts were very welcoming - we were even provided with a Christmas tree. We found the Barn very comfortable, light and warm with everything we needed and the BBQ and outdoor seating were ideal for the warm Tasman Bay weather.
