Full of character and charm, Mangrove Bach is an open plan bach with cottage décor and exposed native timber interior throughout. A shower over a nice deep bath is there to relax in at the end of the day; the flush toilet is outside in a separate shed. The Bach sleeps 6 people in 3 bedrooms and full linen and towels are supplied for your stay.

Mangrove Bach is positioned in an excellent location, placed beautifully for maximum sun. Step from the bach to the beach to swim, fish, collect oysters or launch your boat with a 4 wheel drive. Enjoy the company of the local ducks and chickens who like to visit.

Enjoy the Far North sub-tropical weather with some of the best fishing spots in the north nearby. A 15 minute drive will take you to the local dairy at Waitaki Landing and 30 to 40 minutes drive away is Cape Reinga, Spirits Bay and Ninety Mile beach.

There is no charcoal BBQ available however if guests wish to bring their own gas BBQ, gas will be provided.

We had a great time at Mangrove: it's an absolutely top little basic bach for fishing groups. The channel is really a high tide launch only for most boats (unless you're braver than me), but launching down Te Pua road is easy if you have the key. Caught plenty of big snapper and trevs on baits and softbaits, and about 300 million kahawai. Awesome spot. I left my long-serving fishing trip frying pan there (sorry ol' buddy), so enjoy it if you go.

Mangrove batch, in my opinion is the only place to stay in the area. So close to the Harbour, Paua ramp and the ramp 10m from the front door if you wish. Fisherman's paradise! House is basic and has everything you need. It's warm and clean. We'll be back!

Wonderful location, curtains would be great, better heating also as the house was drafty and cold, but it was the middle of winter! For the price, which is top dollar we felt that it was not value for money as a whole package.
