At the end of a private ROW,Set in tranquil surrounds and comfortably able to sleep 4-5 people, this cottage captures the feel of a relaxing holiday retreat, whilst it boasts all of the modern amenities required to ensure this is the perfect place for those wanting to escape to the haven that is the Real Far North. The SPA and SAUNA are BY ARRANGEMENT with us on arrival. The Cottage is an open plan layout with full kitchen facilities. Full linen is provided. Boat parking, fish cleaning area, BBQ available. Situated a few minutes from the Houhora Harbour at Houhora Heads and within 15 minutes of the 90 mile beach, west coast, it is ideally located for fishing, diving, surfing, hiking or simply relaxing. Rarawa Beach, Henderson Bay, Spirits Bay and East Beach are all breathtaking beaches within easy reach of this property. Houhora Harbour is located on the East Coast of New Zealand, 40km north of Kaitaia on a sealed road, and within a comfortable distance to the' Te Rerenga Wairua' [Cape Reinga} and the famous TePaki sand dunes, both spectacular sites. This makes LeBaronz a great central place to base yourself. Houhora promises you some of the best fishing in the country. All sorts of fish can be caught of either of the 2 wharfs. Fishing can be done by boat or you can take advantage of the many excellent beach and rock fishing locations. In addition, the very impressive Ninety Mile Beach is only fifteen minutes away. Fishing Charters and other beach activities can be arranged when booking LeBaronz. The famous 90 mile beach is home of the annual Snapper Classic, the popular fishing competition that is now considered to be the largest surfcasting event in the world.     We loved the Bach. Kids had a so much fun. Very comfy and such a convenient location. Will keep going. Definitely highly reccommend. Will be back again. Ash& Sarita.

  • Very handy location for making day trips further north

    Very handy location for making day trips further north. Property was very comfortable and well set up, really like a home away from home and we would recommend for other families. We had a wonderful 3 nights there.

  • The property is just down the road from Houhora heads and about...

    The property is just down the road from Houhora heads and about a 5 minute drive to groceries and petrol in Pukenui and a 15 minute drive to 90 mile beach or Henderson Bay. Everything else in the far north requires a bit of driving so I think this location is just as good as any in the area.

    I highly recommend the property. It is warm and cosy and in a nice part of Houhora. Ray and Lesa are fantastic host who know how to look after people. Thanl you sharing your property and making our experience the best ever.
