Bach or holiday home | Anakiwa | #5927
Nearly new holiday house with stunning views down Queen Charlotte Sound. Native bush reserve surrounds so you wake to the sound of birds. Watch out for the cheeky weka. It is a short walk to the water and jetty. Boat launching off concrete ramp. Handy to Queen Charlotte Walkway for walking and mountain biking. Kayak hire and tours nearby. Longer boat trips available from Picton and Havelock (the famous mail run to small isolated bays) Wading in the water or going handline fishing off the Tirimoana jetty are popular for young ones.
There is easy sealed road access to the front steps of the house. Views out each window are native bush or the sea. You can see right down the Queen Charlotte with sightings of the Picton ferry , cruise ships, yachts and small craft. At the back of the property is a gully with glowworms when conditions are right. Magic.
Guests using linen are asked to wash all on morning of departure, and drape over the clothes airer. We supply FREE linen, as our location in the Sounds does not have access to a linen hire or laundry service. We ask guests to tell us what time they expect to leave, so that the caretaker can go early to wash the linen if necessary.
Extras: Linen (included); Caretaker in High Season (Required, NZ$50.00 per stay); NOTE: Under Kiwi bach tradition you are expected to: Clean the house and do the dishes before you leave;
1 x Queen bed
1 x Double bed
1 x Narrow single bed
