Wonderful stay. Loved the stunning property, really up in the trees and surrounded by abundant birdlife - even heard kiwi at night! The home is clearly loved and well equipped with all the implements needed in the kitchen and shelves and shelves of books. Great location too. Highly recommended.
A very special accommodation. In the forest yet a short walk to central Russell. Sleep in a comfortable bed and listen to the calls of the kiwi. See the weka that casually walk around the edges of the large deck. Lots of natural light keep the place bright during the day and you can watch the stars from the bed in the master bedroom at night. No shortage of reading material or info on the birds and plants of the area. A truly delightful place that I would highly recommend you experience.
We loved the treehouse, our first stop on a north island tour and boy did it deliver.Russell is picturesque, reasonably quiet and well equipped for exploring days around the BOI.we found the house to be nourishing for the soul,it had a tranquillity about it that is not found in many places. A true gem. Thankyou so much for sharing this piece of paradise with us, it will live long in our hearts as our first taste of nz and it didn't fail to deliver. Ps drive to oke bay it is like a Pacific dream.
