Description

  • A lovely large apartment, great if you want some space and privacy, but you want to be in town.
  • Watch the sunrise & moon rise from your balcony, in your own private bath tub. Come to relax.
  • This place contains everything, just bring your clothes. Endless food; fresh bread, eggs, sauces...

Wow ! What a View ! And so quiet and private. All you will hear is the ocean waves on the waterfront, and the native birds.

Nestled on the edge of the Kaikoura Peninsula you'll enjoy stunning sea and mountain views. Your own bathtub on the patio overlooking the ocean and mountain range.

This is a very spacious self-contained open-plan apartment. We furnished this unit with all of the things you would want to feel right at home.

Kaikoura township along the ocean is a small town, so everything is close by. It would be best suited to those who have a car. Also Kaikoura Shuttle can take you where you want to go.

We are located in the middle of the popular walking tracks on the peninsula, very close to the Kaikoura Lookout. The beginning of the South Bay walk is less than a 1 minute down the street, as well as Tom's Track that gets you into town. A walk up the street are fields of cows and sheep. Right next door is the grassy Maori Pa, with very old trees and an amazing view.

Also you will be close to the Seal Colony, the famous Pier Restaurant, pubs, numerous restaurants. The Whale Watch, and other tours are a short distance awa. There are many high-quality gift shops (my favorite is Global Culture), a great cheese store where you can "cheese taste", and a very good pie at Pot Belly's. The Take Note serves as a Kiwi Bank, post office, book store and more. The 4 Square is a small grocery store that has a good wine selection. So we have a bit of everything in our small town.

We hope you will join us, so we can share our slice of paradise.

If you go onto the Department of Conservation (DOC) website and plug in Kaikoura, you will see what there is to do here. There is a link on that page that is a PDF file of the "Kaikoura Peninsula Walkway", as well as many interesting facts and further information. That is right where we are, in among the tracks, and right on the edge of the peninsula cliff.

Special conditions: Outdoor hot bathtub with bubbles. A BBQ so bring your own food. Why leave? Pets allowed. Complimentary bread, cereal, fresh fruit, breakfast bars, milk, butter, jam. Snacks; noodles, crackers, instant soup. Completely stocked kitchen corner, including spices and olive oil. Need something? Ask us, we are next door. "Eco Store" soap, shampoo, lotion, dish soap. Hairdryer. Smoking allowed outside. Bassinet available. No steps. Please ask if you have any special requests.

  • Wonderful location with beautiful views

Wonderful location with beautiful views. Easy walks into town and well situated for scenic walks on the peninsula. Every detail of the apartment was thought out with quality bedding and towels, toiletries and breakfast supplies. Of course the outside bath was the icing on the cake. Our dog was very happy here too. Would definitely stay here again.

  • How could you not love the claw foot tub on the deck...

How could you not love the claw foot tub on the deck overlooking the ocean. Kaikoura is a lovely town on the coast. They are rebounding after their 7.8 earthquake. The Dolphin Encounter is NOT to be missed. Minutes from town, great views, wonderfully equipped with all the comforts a guest could want. Thank you
