The house is the original home of Mr James Hazlett - an early arrival on the Otago gold mining scene - dates back to the 1860s, featuring rustic brick and stone walls and kauri floors.

  • The bach had everything we needed and was so close to everything

The bach had everything we needed and was so close to everything. The only downside is that it's a bit dark inside, but that's what you get in a historic building and it's more than made up for by the character. The verandah was a great spot to watch the world go by.
