Bach or holiday home | Waitarere Beach | #8035
If you are needing to unwind or break up your journey then we highly recommend our cute little bach. It is a great weekend retreat where you can really relax and get away from it all. Our holiday home is only a short walk to the beach, as at the end of the street there is a walkway that leads you straight there (no negotiating streets). It is also only walking distance to the local cafes and shops and to Waitere Park which has a children's playground and tennis courts.
A two bedroom bach with all the comforts of home.
Seperate Bathroom with toilet.
Outside shower - hot and cold (Great for getting the sand off you)
Second toilet (outside entry)
Open plan kitchen, dining & lounge area.
Our bach is suitable for both Summer or Winter as we have a large wood burner that heats the whole house very quickly. So you can either enjoy a drink on our deck in the summer or snuggle up with a book and enjoy the cozy warmth of the wood burner in the winter.
Waitarere beach is a 10 minute drive to Levin, where there are many family attractions including two hydro slides for the children as well as a huge adventure playground. A further 20 mins down the road is a small township called Otaki which has now become a bargain hunters destination, with many factory outlet stores. Or perhaps you would prefer to go surfing, swimming, fishing or treking through the Waitarere forest. So no matter what you want to achieve for your get away whether it be a quiet weekend , or an action filled holiday for the family, Waitarere is a central destination which will please everyone.

Nice property, only potential problem was the state of the fireplace where the flue joined the fireplace was rusted with big gaps. This is potentially dangerous as it allowed combustion gasses to enter the closed space of the room. This was of special concern as the firewood was of offcuts of building material. This kind of timber is usually treated with toxic chemicals, so part of their combustion gasses are also toxic. Bit of a concern. Apart from that the property is great and perfect getaway
