Our weekend here was just brilliant, we couldn't have asked for better. It had everything we needed, was incredibly peaceful, we took full advantage of the kayaks, record collection and fire. I would definitely love to return in the future.
The house is absolutely perfect for a weekend getaway. Sunrise walks on Aramoana beach, lounging by the fire in the evening, it is just such a beautiful location and the home is exactly that, a beach home, quirky, clean, and so welcoming.
This house is magical. Nestled away in the sand dunes it's an absolute haven. There is a pristine beach on your doorstep and tonnes of wildlife to be spotted. The house has a beautiful retro vibe and is comfortable, rain or shine. I've staid twice and can confidently say this is my favorite bach in the whole of NZ!
It's an bit of an adventure to get to the Bach! A bumpy drive down a DOC route, and a trip along the beach, dodging the tide, but it is so entirely worth it. The bach is cute and quirky, and has everything you need. There is heating in every room and we loved nothing more than coming home from Dunedin and lighting the open fire. The whole place is magical. There's just something special about this place and we have made so many unforgettable memories.
