Walking to the Junction takes you just 4 minutes. Here you will find the Powderhorn Restaurant & Bar, the OCR Restaurant, Pizza and Cafe's and more.

Heated floor tiles cover both the bathroom and the kitchen area of the open plan lounge. This makes the living area very cosy and warm while giving Kune Bach a friendly after skiing atmosphere. This is complemented with a very effective wood fire and fairy lights to set off the lounge .

Firewood is supplied, dry, cut and ready for you. The wood shed is handy and accessed from the carport.

We had a group of us stay at Kune Bach for Mardi Gras. Great location near the bars, excellent fireplace with wood available, rooms were very warm and shower was lovely - great to have heated tiles as well when it’s freezing outside! We would love to stay here again when we return for snowboarding. We highly recommend staying here if you want to be in a quiet area that’s still close to the activity at the Junction. Thanks Tony for having us in Kune Bach, we have made some great memories here.

When staying in Ohakune in winter, we rate warmth our number one priority. Perhaps surprisingly for an old style NZ property, this place is very warm. Heated tiles keep the chill away, and the fire roars the temperature up, and the oil heaters in the bedrooms only need to be on low given the rest of the heat in the house. Our kids loved the house styling and fairy lights. It has a well laid out kitchen and dining room. We'll certainly aim to come back in the future.
