  • Beautiful renovated historic property

Beautiful renovated historic property. Lots of space, amazing garden. Kid friendly. Everything you need. Yes, it's quite isolated but we found it charming to wake up to the birds singing by our windows and watching our kids swing on the tire swing by the river. Dreamy place to relax and explore off the beaten path. Highly recommend!

The lodge is in a very attractive location, and was really easy to stay in - all the amenities are there, loads of living space & sofas inside, with a beautiful garden & outdoor area (weather permitting!) as well.

  • We loved our stay at Awakino

We loved our stay at Awakino. This beautifully restored and furnished lodge has all the mod cons, especially in the kitchen. The spa was enjoyed by all. There is plenty of room to spread out. We loved our time on Taranaki's west coast beaches. This was a wonderful treat weekend away. Thanks Garry for sharing your lovely Lodge.
