Designed for idyllic escapes, Delaney’s on Avoca is a perfect fusion of old world charm and modern luxury. Located in the heart of Naseby, this historic gold miners cottage has been completely renovated to provide a truly romantic couples getaway or a relaxing reward after a hard day on the Rail Trail

In the main cottage a fully equipped modern kitchen, newly appointed bathroom, full laundry facilities and unlimited gas hot water takes care of the essentials. And the outdoor claw foot bath is the ideal place to unwind under a star dappled Naseby sky, before curling up on the invitingly comfortable couches in front of a roaring fire.

The detached garden cottage offers a queen size bed, tea and coffee making facilities, heater and a large deck which catches the last of the evening sun. Luxurious guest bath robes, complimentary toiletries, wireless broadband, an iPod docking station, HD freeview and the flat screen LCD television/DVD player add the finishing touches to your special Naseby experience

So close to EVERYTHING, 2 x local pubs just around the corner, we didn't need our car once on our trip away. House is directly across the road from a park and in the snow it was magical! We also bought our own food and used the kitchen facilities and stayed toasty by the fire

Brilliant place, had everything you need, lovely outdoor areas, and very Cosy indoors. Great location opposite the park and very private, loved the outdoor bath. The cottage was very clean on arrival. Would stay there again and have recommended it to friends

Our stay at this charming cottage was the romantic lovely retreat I was hoping, as it was our wedding anniversary. The fire and movies were appreciated the first day just enjoying the lovely refurbishment of this 1865 cottage as it was really cold. The next day we were able to enjoy the outdoor claw foot bath in the private courtyard and lunch at the outdoor table. The place was just delightful and beautifully fitted out, Easy to relax in and enjoy! Thank you.

Places are often described as bijou with an English meaning of neat tidy and compact, in French it means a jewel. Delaneys on Avoca deserves both the French and English description. Absolutely everything you could wish for in a beautifully kept cottage in a beautifully kept village. We used the bath on the deck to soak after a day on the rail trail. The cottage is a great centre to see the glorious central Otago area and to just chill out. A week was not enough.
