Pickled Walnut Cottage is a haven. I take my coffee machine and enjoy a long black in the garden setting, contemplating the harbour and the hills. Lovely people and a restful place to stay. Convenient to the city and all the area has to offer; fish from the pontoon, or just curl with a good book and a glass of local bubbles... lovely!
Great location if you are attending a wedding at Fountain Gardens. I was a bit worried when we drove by 3 months earlier and saw that the owners were just a few metres away, but this was unfounded and they were great. We were not allowed to vacuum before departure, despite the instructions, and they have not posted negative feedback about the damage we did to their lawn manouvering my heavy wedding car.
The cottage setting and views are stunning. It's a very comfortable and restful cottage, with a real bach feel. Limited cooking facilities but a comfortable and very restful place to take a break, set on a spectacular peninsular, close to city and its cafes and restaurants, as well as country stalls for local produce. Loved it!
