Bach or holiday home | Foxton Beach | #9895
Only 2 minutes walk from the lovely estuary, this is a tradtional family bach - with all the add-ons to prove it! It's a really large, fully-fenced section, so bring your animals for a mini-break with you. It's a real get-away-from-it-all Kiwi holiday - enjoy the peace with no TV or phone to interupt your board games, swimming, walks and reading time.
The bach is very family-friendly, with heaps of books, magazines, board games and toys all avaliable to use. Playgrounds, Four Square, dairy and fish and chip shops are all in easy walking distance.
This is also a wonderful spot for a couple wanting some time to reconnect with walks along the beach, a coffee at the local cafe and some serious downtime from the hustle and bustle of city life.
With the cost per night for up to 6 people, it's a cheap break away for family, friends and whanau!
The bach has beds for 10 people - two sets of bunks, a queen-size bed, two single beds and two single trundler beds. The house is only 90sqm so while it can sleep that many, it's best for those who are happy with intimacy with their family and friends :) The room with the three beds has a door, but the one off the queen bed and kitchen have curtains (keeping with that easy bach feel).
Special conditions: This bach is a work in progress, and we are renovating bit by bit,and it's a kiwi bach - so please don't expect perfection! We'd hate for you to be disappointed. This year we've replaced the fireplace, put a new lounge ceiling up and put on a carport. Bring your tents and other sleeping arrangements so it's a whole of whanau affair. The price per night is for up to 6 people - then an extra $15 per adult and $10 per child.

in confidence.- there are significant maintenance issues to say nothing of the cleanliness. It is obvious previous users have only preformed the basics. The property needs a thorough spring clean from top to bottom. It is a true NZ bach of the 1960's 70's. This is not evident in the flattering photos on the website. If a bach experience is what people are looking for the property is fine but we were looking for something just a little better. Not flash just nicer.
We always ask for any concerns to be raised from renters during their stay - not after- this is clearly communicated via text and email. Elisabeth did not mention any of these issues when she replied to my text during her stay. If she had, we would have sought to fix them immediately. It was professionally cleaned just before their stay. It is a Bach - as per the listing info:'the bach is a work in progress it's a kiwi bachso please don't expect perfection! We'd hate for you to be disappointed'
