Bach or holiday home | Matakawau Beach | #12428
Seafront bach with splendid views across the Manakau harbour to Auckland City. This sunny four bedroom bach is ready for you to move in for a restful holiday.
Privacy and feeling of remoteness makes it hard to believe that central Auckland is just over an hour away. Sandy beaches are metres away with walks continuing around the coastline, through native bush, farmland and regional park, exposing more and more coastal views.
When the tide is in, it is ideal for water sports and fishing with the convenience of a jetty 400 metres down the road.
The nearest service station and dairy is a pleasant 5 minute drive away and if anything more is required the township of Waiuku is a further 20 minutes.
West Coast black sand beach and sand dunes only 10-15 minutes drive away.
This northfacing 1970’s bach is on a full section so it has plenty of room. It has open plan living with a sliding door opening onto a large sun drenched deck. It has beds for up to seven people with two large (kings and queen) and two single bedded bedrooms. The bathroom has a shower, toilet, handbasin and a laundry tub. There is a single garage with internal access.
Large backyard with lots of room to throw a ball, play cricket or petanque.
Long term rental available. Enquire for rates.

We had a great time. The rear deck overlooks the bay with views out to Auckland with the sky tower in the distance. Beach was 2min stroll away, though can only get your feet wet when the tide is in. Bach was basic but had all the necessary stuff you need to make yourself at home and is ideally situated for exploring the area. We are definitely thinking of going back.
Great location and views. Pleasant and quiet. The bach was well equipped, spacious and reasonably priced. Great games cupboard (often used on our rainy weekend!) The beach down the road was great at high tide and the lookout walk was worth a go. We also went to the Sunday market and the golf Club for dinner on Friday night. The lighthouse is definitely worth a visit and the vineyard looked very picturesque, but we didn't get to taste unfortunately.
We enjoyed our stay very much. The bach has a wonderful north facing outlook, in very peaceful surroundings. It was a lovely bach to just chill out in. A visit to the Manakau Heads lighthouse is well worth it. Would love to have seen the Heads on a really windy day....!! The beaches at the northern and eastern tip of the penninsula are great as well as Kariotahi Beach on the west coast.
