Bach or holiday home | Pataua South | #12570
We reckon Pataua South is pretty hard to beat when it comes to a relaxing beachside break. Unpretentious and classic Kiwiana is what Pataua is all about.
It's only a 100m walk to the beautiful Pataua estuary where you can gather cockles and pipis.
There is safe swimming for young children, and a footbridge which is popular for swimmers to jump off and great for taking the kids fishing for sprats, small kahawai and the usual odds and sods.
The bach has a modern, tiled spacious bathroom with gas hot water shower. We have also provided a 32" LCD TV with Sky TV including Sport and Movies for those odd wet days. There is a DVD player with a small selection of DVDs and also a mini stereo with mp3 input. *Free WiFi*
The main bedroom is very large and infact the whole bach is more spacious than the photos show. Our beds are comfy as is all the furniture provided - a perfect home away from home.
In the shed we have added a small pool table that doubles up as a table tennis board (has a ply top) so there's plenty to do on those odd rainy days.
5 -10 mins away are takeaways,a bottlestore, four square,Hairdresser, petrol station and the historic Parua Bay Tavern.
This is a great base for a fun holiday by the sea in one of NZ's best kept secrets.

Great place to relax and have fun with all the family, including your pet. Fabulous place to swim, surf, body board, fish & kayak. If it is a little wet then there is family fun to be found in the garage in the way of a pool table or table tennis.
The Bach itself was relatively comfortable and clean. It was great that the Bach welcomed pets. While it was only a few minutes away from the estuary and the lovely footbridge bridge, the Bach lacked any views of the estuary, in fact for the lovely destination, there weren't any views from the rooms. I tried visiting the local takeaway shop twice, but on both occasions found it shut. This meant, the next nearest takeaway restaurant or convenience store was approx 12 kms away.
