Cottage | Whangamata | #12925
Our home is surrounded by olive trees, natives.
You can hear the sound of the river, a nice retreat from the busy township.
Views are to the surrounding mountains and bush in the distance.
The tap water is from a natural spring which is feed through ultraviolet purifiers, no chemicals in the drinking taps, shower, bath or the natural swimming pool in the river.
This is a lovely conducive environment for retreats. We the family offer options of yoga, meditation and healing with trained and certified teachers and practitioners.
With this in mind our home is not suitable for party goers and the like.
Just minutes away you have all that Whangamata has to offer great cafes, restaurants, RSA, New World Supermarket, shops, harbour and surf beach with two golf courses.
Hahei and Hot Water Beach are just over an hour drive as is Tauranga and Mt Maunganui. Pleasant, quiet hot pools at Athenree are a short 40 mins drive near Waihi Beach.
There is so many beautiful beaches on the Coromandel Peninsular it is really a beautiful area to come to heal, rest and recuperate and take 'time out'.
Alternatively 2 mins drive up the end of the road is the DOC bush and hiking trails to Wentworth water fall and beyond.
We have plenty of off road parking space.

This property was fantastic. We only stayed in the main house, but it was very clean and beautifully presented. The garden cottage needs updating. The grounds were really beautiful. It's in a great location away from the town and beach, but very close by for easy access. It's up a dirt road, so you don't get any passers by apart from campers up the road. F was fantastic to deal with and we will definitely use her again for future bookings. We have no hesitation in recommending this property.
Spacious, comfortable, everything provided necessary for a relaxing break either indoors if weather bad, or outdoors for walking and generally exploring the area. Loved the quiet, beautiful yet accessible location, the Sky TV, the wood-burning stove, the good-quality bed, the unpretentious & homely yet luxurious feel of the property. Great for a group, plenty of space. Loved the 2 local valley walks, didn't see a soul.
