Bach or holiday home | Aotea | #22892
Studio house with great modern kitchen, lounge, bathroom and bedroom area.Your private deck is a lovely place to enjoy a wine and the amazing views.
Your privacy is assured as there are no neighbours around my property. So you wake up only to the sound of birds and the gentle of lap of the water.
You are only a few minutes walk from the sandy beach, with great swimming and a boat ramp right in front of the house.
A pristine harbour offers good fishing spots, plus ideal for sailing, kite surfing, paddle boarding or kayaking.Price includes 2 good sea kayaks.
With summer on it's way it is the ideal place for a relaxed get away, so you can curl up with a good book and a glass of wine to watch the sun go down.
We have lovely walking tracks in the area or it is a 15 minute drive to the Kawhia Golf Course.
There is a local horse trek available (in summer) or if you have your own horses we are happy for you to use our post and rail paddock facilities.
There are also Cafe's and some good local craft shops in nearby Kawhia.
This is also an area of historic cultural significance, with an old Pa site as our back drop. You can sit in the shade of our 1000+ year Pohutukawa tree and enjoy the ambience.
Although we are on the coast, Aotea is still central to a number of key tourist attractions in the region.

Great location, our stay was very enjoyable. The locals are very friendly and helpful. Nice tidy little Bach. Will be back again!
Lovely relaxing location, loved sitting on the verandah watching people making their way to the beach to swim, fish, launch boats, also the odd horse treks with cute foals walking past. Stock up on food and take loads of books and chill :-)
Great View, away from it all and the inclement weather didn't matter.
We had a delightful stay at Aotea, It was so peaceful and relaxing we did not much. House had everything we needed, oven, pots, pans... All the great kitchen things. We made the most of the DVD collection and the deck. All the people we met were super friendly and helpful, would gladly return :)
This is a fabulous cosy cottage in a wonderful spot for a relaxing getaway. We were looking for something that was pet-friendly and what a find this was. Unfortunately our trip coincided with thunderstorms so our stressed out pooch spent more time cowering and trembling inside, but when we coaxed him out between storms he had a ball on the peaceful beach that's just outside the back gate. There's a couple of stores a short drive away but nowhere that sold much in the way of fresh produce, so if you are not wanting to stray far plan ahead and arrive with supplies. We already have two couples we know wanting to book up after seeing our photos and we know they won't be disappointed.
