This house was such a surprise, not what i was expecting from the photos but was a fun house to be in. The beds were comfy and there was heaps of room. Everything you could ask for and felt like home very quickly. Perfect for two families. The lawn and tree were amazing the kids spent all there time outside exploring. The very short walk to the beach was great and we loved the estuary. It was such a relaxing place to be. We were all very sad to leave and cant wait to stay again.

The property is great for larger groups and very well postioned in the bay. This is a fantastic part of New Zealand and great to unwind, it was a childhood haunt for me and still has plenty of that original charm. Everyone loved the Taronui Bay lagoon. We also did the Puketi West Rd Kauri forest walk and highly recommend it. . Could not find an outside hose that worked to flush the outboard each day which was the only real niggle. Do it again?... Yes indeed.

  • What a spot

What a spot. Really is a tremendous piece of coastline. Position of the bach is fantastic. The bach was more basic than we had expected from the description on this site, possibly a bit over priced. But the location and beach, estuary and lagoon are fantastic and we had a great time.

  • We are addicted to this spot

We are addicted to this spot. Our second stay, and it just gets better. My three year old daughter cried when we left.

  • Thouroughly enjoyed our time at Taps

Thouroughly enjoyed our time at Taps.Make sure you drive out to Marsden Cross while you're here and walk the track. It's a short walk to the Cross, take a picnic lunch and your togs.Tapuwaetahi Beach has a great small community friendliness to it..Chat to the locals, take time to enjoy the tranquility.Don't forget the cheese, crackers and vino as the kids will be so busy swimming, fishing, playing in the rockpools,'ll have lots of time to lax out!!
