Bach or holiday home | Devonport | #33693
Nestled under two Norfolk Island Trees this cottage offers everything for a couple or a family.
Narrow Neck beach is one of the nicest and safest beaches in the Auckland area. This lovely destination is within walking distance from the property and on a clear night you can sit on the deck and listen to the waves washing up on shore.
The historic Fort Takapuna, Wakatere Boating Club and the Waitamata Golf Course are just around the corner. A little further afield is North Head Tunnels, Mount Victoria and Cheltenham Beach to explore. The Navy Museum and Devonport Village are also worth a visit.
Within the area we are spoilt for choice with parks and children’s playground. Handy to the property are tennis courts, cricket and volley nets for public use. A short drive to Takapuna there is Takapuna Beach and the recently opened playground that is worth a visit.
Auckland City is only a 10 minute ferry ride from the Devonport Wharf or Waiheke Island is only 35 minutes. Conveniently, the 813 bus route runs pass the property and takes you directly to the ferry building or in the other direction, Takapuna.

Norfolk Cottage is perfect. Three lovely bedrooms, a well equipped kitchen, nice bathrooms, well designed space, comfortable and spotlessly clean. Everything is new, tidy and works well. The beds are comfortable, there's a pleasant sunny deck outside and it's a stones throw from the beach. The area is lovely. there's a great french bakery with coffee 10 minutes walk along the beach and nearby Devonport is a gem. Highly recommended.
I have given it five stars because the cottage is actually much bigger than it looks in the photos. Everything is new and of high quality: windows, furniture, etc. We especially liked (and learned a lot about) the eco-friendly aspects, such as the use of rainwater for flushing toilets. The walk to the beach is only a few seconds, and there is a bus stop and a corner shop very close, too.
Perfection in paradise! Lovely modern property, very comfortable, open and airy, clean and beautifully presented. Stunning location, ideal for couples, friends or families - it's got the lot. So close to the best beach in Auckland (150m walk from door), bus stop right there, Devonport ferry service is top notch, and the village is gorgeous - awesome eats and shopping everywhere you look. Need I say more!? Only sorry we couldn't stay longer!
Lovely new clean and tidy house. Everything you need there with bedrooms configured for either a whole family or two couples. Modern fittings, Netflix, three televisions. Very close to Longbeach and only a short drive to Devonport, North Head and Takapuna. Photos show a busy road but home is back off it down a drive so no traffic noise. An ideal location for visiting Auckland! We'd happily stay there again.
