Cottage | Mapua (Ruby Bay) | #4914
Aroha Cottage is filled with art, photos and treasures from our travels. With a new kitchen and bathroom, cosy wood burner for winter, fabulous private garden, huge deck, quiet beach and free wifi, it is perfect for couples and overseas tourists.
The cottage is only 50 meters from Kina Beach, start the day down at the beach watching the sunrise over Nelson.
Situated halfway between Nelson and The Abel Tasman National Park, Kina Beach is a quiet seaside community yet shops and cafes are only minutes away.
Motueka township is 10 minutes drive with 2 large supermarkets and all the other facilities you could possibly need. Mapua is only 10 minutes in the other direction with Boutique Breweries, Art and Craft shops and Restaurants overlooking the harbour. We also have our local Tasman store for local wine, olive oil and basic supplies.
Perfectly positioned for visiting both Nelson and The Abel Tasman National Park, famous for its great walks and stunning scenery. Kayaking and walking is the popular way to see the park, but for the slightly less energetic, take a boat trip instead.
The Tasman cycle trail is at the end of the road.
The challenging Tasman Golf Club, 1km past the gate, welcomes visitors. Not a golfer..... its worth the walk or drive, for the stunning views over Tasman bay and the bar might be open!
With safe swimming, boating, and fishing, plus award winning local vineyards and cafes, Kina Beach really is the perfect holiday location.
Kina Beach is only a 25minute drive from Nelson airport.

Beautiful cottage, well presented and equipped and amazing location. We had a such a wonderful time in the area and it was always nice to come home to the cottage and relax by the fire. We would definitely be keen to come back in the summer to stay and explore the region again.
Cottage was limited in space which didn't show in photos, but excellently equipped with good facilities and kitchen utensils. Because of its lovely secluded location, yet handy to dining, entertainment and sports options it would be perfect over the summer months.
