What a wonderful place - the location is beautiful, vineyard2 is very well equipped and the layout excellent. Nice comfy beds. We only stayed 2 nights but could have easily stayed longer and hope to return. We enjoyed walking around the local river and the lake and our 15 month old son loved the freedom around the chalet. We felt we had plenty of space - and the sun was out! The pinot grigio from the vineyard is well worth trying, it's delicious.
Well appointed apartment big windows great view of vineyard (very nice pinot grigio) and local peak. Close to lake short walk to river just outside gate (loop back through the olive trees) longer walk to Pukawa Bay down the road. Local dairy REALLY well stocked. Oreti Restaurant at Pukawa great. Find of the weekend the restaurant at Little Waihi. Two other vineyards in the area - Omori & Pukawa
A lovely and well appointed bach/chalet in a very pleasant setting with plenty of opportunities for walking and exploring the local beauty and outdoors. I enjoyed staying here very much and will definitely be looking for an opportunity to return.
Great location - we used it as a base for the Tongariro Crossing and visiting Taupo, but plenty to do on the doorstep too. Ultra-modern chalet is superbly appointed and surrounded on all sides by grapevines and hill views. Private and quiet, yet close by a great cafe. Excellent management; very helpful and unintrusive - we felt welcomed and 'at home'. Would highly recommend.
