Disliked: Cleanliness, communication, location, listing accuracy
seaNrent has a gorgeous fb page & website photos ~ but renting from them .. a very different picture
We all shop for rentals by looking at photos, reading reviews and comparing prices, right?
I was diligent bc this was my 7th visit to Israel, always renting small apts. from other sources - this time was different bc I had 8 other family members.
This place seemed perfect - the size, the location and the cost - and it could have been if the management of the apt were more attentive to small things that become huge problems.
In short, the patio which is the main reason I wanted this apt and a huge attraction point made on their advertising, was dirty and literally covered in old , dried bird poop - this was not a place you want to be or dine. The patio alcove has their junk on it...an old umbrella stand, a pile of old rusty chairs, a bucket, an old bed frame, all of which was unattractive and space consuming.
That was the most annoying this, but not the only.
I will list the other problems with the apt and if any details or photos are desired, please contact me and I will fill you will.
-there is no welcome page or instruction on how to use anything like the water heater, the stove, the washer, the a/c, etc or about anything to do, see or eat nearby in the apartment.
-Access to the apt is via a locked bar type gate that locks from both in/outside - so you cannot come or go without a key, even with the lock box to store key it does not work for 9 people coming and going separately - unless running up/down stairs and putting arm through gate bars to somehow access the lock box is your thing. I was literally locked on the inside of the gate on one occasion - a second key was delivered but it did not work....this entire apt does not work - same as the HUGE clock on the wall that does not work and all the times I had to call to find out how to work something...i.e. - the water heater to one of the bathrooms is on the master bedroom - who knew, not us bc they do not leave instructions or any helpful information at all.
There are unfriendly neighbors that blocked in my car even though I was blocking no one. We got warnings about making sure the gate is locked at all times - evidently it is an area that has problems.
Bottom line: Just rent elsewhere.
Find someplace clean, safe, informative, convenient and where there is good communication bc this place is NOT the place!
