Within a short walking distance to our beautiful pet-friendly beaches, A Southern Comfort offers the captivating experience of our magical seaside lifestyle. Just across the street and down the community pathway is the beach access - it is also golf cart friendly and recommended for those that have difficulty walking short distances. With upscale amenities & well-kept accommodations, your stay at this delightful home will be a memorable one. Don't forget you're also close to the world famous Indian Pass Raw Bar!

Weekly family vacations, monthly couple’s retreat, & weekend anglers looking to explore our coastal waters will enjoy staying at A Southern Comfort. Plus, with A Southern Comfort being a dog-friendly home, it offers your dog excellent accommodations that your four legged companion will enjoy - including a fenced dog run. No cats please due to owner allergies!

A Southern Comfort has a spacious driveway & parking underneath the house; perfect for parking your boat & car. A fish cleaning station and an outdoor shower with hot and cold water has been added. Stairs lead up to the first level, but elevator access from ground level is a convenient alternative that takes you all the way to the master suite. The spacious open deck is an ideal spot for outside entertaining, and takes you to the front entrance of the home.

The first level welcomes visitors to the living, dining, & newly updated kitchen area. The living room is tastefully decorated, and tile flooring is laid throughout the entire home. Guests will be delighted with comfortable sitting and large 55" Smart TV.

The dining room is elegant & sophisticated, yet comfortable and fun to entertain and dine in. The kitchen is right across from the dining room, and is equipped with stainless steel appliances. You’ll enjoy preparing your meals in this kitchen, so be sure to stop by some of our local seafood markets to purchase fresh local seafood. A screened porch off the dining room is an added bonus.

The two guest bedrooms are located on the first floor. Each room has a comfy queen size bed, and a full size bathroom stands between the two. Each room has its own personal décor, and TVs for each room adds another benefit for guests. The entire second level is dedicated to the master bedroom. This private suite offers your own private deck, stunning master bathroom, and a comfortable king size bed. A walk-in closet and a large TV completes this already exquisite space.

This is a dog friendly home, and a non-refundable pet fee of $168.00 per dog will be added to the reservation upon Homeowner approval.

Not as exceptional as it was in the past

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Members of our party had several complaints. The floor was filthy and needed to be mopped. People walking around in socks had to throw them away they got so dirty. The third floor was hot and humid at 72 degrees and only the small table-top fan was operational. We had to purchase a decent corkscrew to open wine and the blender broke when we tried to blend ice for cocktails.

Fantastic stay at Southern Comfort

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It was our first time in Port St Joe or the surrounding area. The home, Southern Comfort, was wonderful. It is bright and open, well furnished and located across the street from a beautiful beach. The kitchen was stocked with everything! The layout with the master on the upper floor, with own balcony and the nice sized rooms on the main floor was nice and comfy for us. That surprised me the most. It is dog friendly so my old fur baby was able to take the elevator down to the dog run plus had enough grass to satisfy his sniffing about. The area was wonderful to explore. We loved our family vacation and will definitely be back. Gulf Coast Vacations were wonderful to work with before and during our stay.
