To describe Griante who better to enlist than none other than Longfellow wrote of this pretty village in 1879. I ask myself is this a dream? Will it vanish into air? Is there a land of such supreme and perfect beauty anywhere? Holidaymakers who have visited the region will no doubt bare testimony to the statement. Cadennabia and Griante forms one town, Cadennabia on the lake and Griante, a residential area perched 50 metres up the hill looking down on the lake. The residence features 9 spacious, beautifully appointed, luxury homes situated in a tranquil location. Choose from 2 or 3 bedrooms many with 2 bathrooms, terrace plus large communal outside area featuring pool in summer plus all year round sauna and jacuzzi. Ideally located to reach nearby Villa Carlotta with its majestic gardens, Bellagio directly across the lake, the Cadennabia and Menaggio golf club, shingle beach, lido and pool and golden sand beach all available either by foot or a short drive.

Really nice apartment in Griante

We have visited Italy many times, but decided to stay at Lake Como for the first time.The surroundings are extremely beautiful. Googling around, we found Griante apartments. It looked good and we were not disappointed. Being 5 adults, we needed 3 bedrooms and therefore we chose apt. 9. Aircon, nice kitchen, nice bathrooms, washing machine etc. - even tabs for the dishwasher were there. The pictures show how it is. The beds however were extremely hard but this is the only complaint. Good service from ordering to confirmation and when in Italy we were met by the owner who took us from Lenno to the apartment. Great service. Griante apartments is up on the mountain side. You need good legs, shoes and a little time to come from the lakeside and up. Best advice - just do as the italians - take it easy. Nice little convenient store app. 250 m from the apartment. Here you can get almost everything. All in all a very nice week. Mette + family from Denmark

Fantastic residence

Wonderful accomodation, well appointed with a charming host. The residence is located above griante in a quiet hamlet but only 10 minutes walk to the lake, ferry and restaurants so we hardly used a car and left parked up at the residence all week. Have returned to the uk batteries fully charged. 10 out of 10!
