Solitude and adventure await you on Queen Sewell, or as it's known locally, "Bumps" Pond.

A perfect family vacation or group retreat spot set in the beauty of a recently restored Victorian Farm House situated on 8 acres of private land with 420 feet of frontage to the 18 acre, spring fed, Queen Sewell Pond, complete with shady trees and a private sandy beach. For those seeking more adventure, the property also includes a large Barn with access to 2 house kayaks and plenty of room to store your bikes, rafts, canoe or kayaks should you choose to bring them. You can swim and kayak in the pond or take your bikes to explore the nearby Cape Cod Canal. If the ocean is calling you, there are several great options less than 5 miles away. For anglers there are pickerel, bluegill, large mouth bass and others. Cast your line! Maybe you'll nab the big one!

Great house for a family get together
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. From the large kitchen, to the comfy beds, to the great dining room, it was a lovely place for our family to spend the holidays. The wheelchair ramp and accessible first floor bathroom meant that even our wheelchair bound family member could join us for a meal.

Clean and newly remodeled
Our early fall visit was great. We enjoyed the view from the rear of the house, but the other three sides were less than perfect. The description made me think that this was a rural setting on acreage, but the house is sitting right on the road with plenty of car traffic. There is another gravel road between the house and the pond but it was not used much. Useable land for the guests to enjoy is about a 1/3 acre small lot. The house is exactly as described ... old, but tastefully redone. Was advertised to sleep 10, but there is no bed for guests 9 and 10. A small pull out sofa bed doesn’t work for two adults. Children maybe, but not adults. The only extra linen for the sofa was two sheets that didn’t fit. My comments are not complaints, merely meant to inform better. You will enjoy this place with 8 or less people.

Beautiful farm house!
The house was beautiful and comfortable. Enjoyed staying in the home. Some misleading statements. Wheelchair accessible but no downstairs bedroom and no handicap bars in bathroom. No curtains on bathroom windows and no door locks on bathrooms. The access to pond is across at the public park. Driveway to other houses is between house and pond. Used heavily. There are no books, games, videos, or game room. The house is in a good location to some wonderful restaurants and to see historic sites and Cape Cod. Would stay again. Just be aware if you are planning to do things on the property.

Sehr schön eingerichtetes Haus direkt am See.
