Welcome to the most peaceful house in Hawaii. Aolani House is a sanctuary for rest and relaxation. Nestled among the coffee farms of Holualoa, our home is the perfect place to recharge from the busy world we live in.
Please note: Staying in this property means you agree to abide by strict sound ordinance rules set forth by Hawaii County and our STVR permits. If you are looking for more of a party atmosphere, we would be happy to help you find an alternative accommodation.
Come relax and explore Hawaii in our unique cottage nestled in the center of Kona coffee country with expansive views of the ocean, coffee, and mac nut farms and still only a 12 minute drive to beautiful Magic Sands Beach! We are the new owners of the previous "Haleakala Bed & Breakfast" which previously had over 100+ 5 star reviews on AirBnb. We have revamped the space and are excited to share it with new and returning guests.
Our property was built by the same builders as the Hualalai Four Seasons Resort. Beautiful natural wood and stone finishes throughout the home make this space truly luxurious and unique. The property comes with a stocked kitchen, brand new stainless steal appliances, beach chairs, towels, snorkel gear, boogie boards, beach cooler, hand carved ukulele, portable speaker, games, and everything you'll need to enjoy your stay in Hawaii. Living room boasts 60" flat screen, full access cable, high speed internet, Netflix, and Sonos. Out front is a private hot tub, infrared gas grill, and fire pit so you can relax and enjoy the views and sunsets over acres of Kona coffee and macadamia nut farms. If there is anything you'd like to have while you're here, don't hesitate to request is in advance! We try to be as accommodating as possible.
Guests will have access to all of the Ohana aside from a locked storage space.
We live up in the main house of this property. The Ohana is secluded from us and you will have your full privacy. If you need us for anything, we are always available to assist and if not in person, via telephone or property manager.
A rental car is highly recommended. We live in the Hawaiian country side (although only 12 minutes to town). All rooms have brand new ceiling fans as well as stand up fans if needed. Each bedroom has brand new AC units installed! There are great breezes coming off the mountain throughout the day and night. Do be prepared if you're a light sleeper that the house will most likely be open at night (via screens) to the outside country ambiance for air flow. You will hear in your tropical surroundings our local singing frogs, birds, and the occasional rooster. This is a truly Hawaiian experience.
Java is the juice that powers Holualoa, the little village and art enclave in the heart of Kona coffee country. This is a great place to taste the rich flavors of 100% pure Kona coffee, a rare commodity exclusively grown in north and south Kona. There are many great restaurants within just a few miles such as Holuakoa Cafe, Strawberry Patch, Annie's Burgers, and Kaya's.
The high elevation, constant cloud coverage, and rich volcanic soil in the upland slopes of Kona, Holualoa and Kealakekua create an ideal environment for harvesting the unique Kona coffee bean. There are roughly 600 coffee farms in the Kona area and many offer tours to the public. Visit Holualoa’s thriving coffee orchards and learn about the meticulous harvesting process. Then explore the coffee mill and see how the beans are processed. As you finish your tour, sip a freshly brewed cup for yourself and experience the rich aroma and flavor that makes 100% Kona coffee so highly valued.
Tucked amid the upland farms on the slopes of dormant Hualalai Volcano between Kailua-Kona and Keauhou, Holualoa has also become art central for the Kona and the Kohala Coast resort areas. Discover local artwork including paintings, ceramic sculptures and handcrafted woodwork. To experience the best of both worlds, visit during the annual Holualoa Village Coffee & Art Stroll in November. Taste exotic Kona coffee blends while you shop for handcrafted goods and meet local farmers and artists. Then make room in your suitcase to take home a bag of Holualoa’s best beans for your trip home.
