The Lodge at Crockwell Park is a beautiful first floor apartment, situated on a friendly smallholding just 3 miles from Torquay. The location of this apartment allows you to enjoy the best of both coast and country.
The apartment is approached via a flight of stairs and is situated above the garage in the grounds of the owner’s main residence, with the heart of the home being the open-plan living space. The living area is equipped with a TV, DVD player, iPod dock and Hi-Fi, while the dining area seats up to six and is a nice relaxing space to enjoy meals in. The kitchen area features granite worktops, an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge with ice compartment, washer/dryer and dishwasher.
All three bedrooms feature low, sloping ceilings meaning that head height is limited in places. There is one double bedroom, benefiting from an en-suite shower room with a monsoon shower, one single bedroom and one twin. The family bathroom features a whirlpool bath and a waterfall-style sink.
Opposite the apartment is an enclosed garden area with seating and barbecue, perfect for dining al fresco on sunny days. There is also an outside play area for children.
Guests are also welcome to interact with the animals on-site, which include horses, goats, chickens, chicks (depending on the time of year), geese, rabbits and cats. There is ample off-road parking available on site.
The apartment is only 3 miles away from Torquay with its palm-lined promenades, shops, restaurants, pubs, cafés and vibrant nightlife. There are several beaches accessible from Torquay town centre by foot and road, as well as its harbour and marina.
Visit nearby Dartmoor National Park with it’s rugged and stunning scenery. You can see the ponies, walk the Tors or simply stop off in one of the many villages for a Devon cream tea.
Paignton and Brixham are also great places to visit, as are Exeter and Plymouth, both within 30 minutes’ drive. There are many National Trust properties including Agatha Christie’s summer home ’Greenway’, well worth a visit.
For children, there is Crealy Adventure park or Go Ape in Haldon. If you are bringing a bicycle, there are many cycle ways off road to be explored, including Powderham Castle where there is a cycle track all along the estuary.
There is also no shortage of day-trip destinations, including the Living Coasts Zoo, Round Robin Bus Trip, Paignton Zoo, Woodlands Adventure Park, Babbacombe Model Village and Kents Cavern.

Crockwell Park Lodge
A beautiful well equipped lodge to stay in which had everything you needed. The woods just up the road was lovely to walk in with our dogs,we took them every day. A big country park in Newton Abbot was just a few minutes away . Torquay, teignmouth , Dawlish also not far by car. The lodge is an excellent place to stay for exploring all of these and more. Great hospitality from the owners Sarah and Dave. Thankyou for letting us stay.

Beautifully clean and well presented.
Beautifully clean and well presented. I'm aware that the kitchen equipment had been reduced somewhat to allow Covid-19 cleaning. I'd recommend taking your own cafetiere if you like real coffee, and some plastic containers! Otherwise there's plentiful on site parking in gated grounds, the village of Kingskerswell is less than a mile away and has a small Co-op. There's a couple of very nice pubs for eating out close by - I'd recommend the Two Mile Inn. The owners responded to texts very quickly and sorted problems. The property is ideally situated for the English Riviera.
The property is ideally situated for the English Riviera. There are lots of things to do in the area. However, when the weather is hot the property retains the heat and we were sweltering for a large part of our stay. Even though we had all the windows open. A fan was provided in the main bedroom, but really there needed to be one in each room. Also, the en-suite was quite dark when taking a shower. However, the general amenities in the property were great and the outside space provided was welcomed. We all bumped our heads due to the low ceilings but quickly learned to duck!
