Loft Valverde 2 is an open space with 2 bedrooms on 3 levels, located in a quiet position in the XIV century monastery complex, located in the "historic center", a few steps from Via Roma and Cavour.
The interiors have been furnished with a mixture of Sicilian antiques, original majolica and coffered ceilings used as kitchen panels with all comforts. An absolutely unique restoration project in Palermo, in a 14th-century monastery building that is from the same architectural period as the Cathedral of Palermo.
.
The space has undergone a meticulous renovation lasting 2 years, retaining its one meter thick tuff walls with the living room on the ground floor, the kitchen on the first intermezzo and the private bedroom with bathroom on the top floor, complete with patchwork of Sicilian majolica and a balcony overlooking the San Domenico complex (with its hidden cloister). The Loft is incredibly quiet even if one is off Via Roma (one of Palermo's two main avenues).
The open plan kitchen at the first intermission is concealed behind the XVIII century wooden paneled doors. when not in use. Adjacent an amazing terrace with 180 degree view of the historic center, Monte Pellegrino and Cala.
The top floor with whitewashed beams houses the main bedroom with an arched view of the arched window, again on the Cala and a fantastic sink made of marble stone. Original features are the Sicilian majolica tiles in both the bathrooms on the ground and upper floors.
The circulation of air and light is facilitated by two velux with automated curtains and both air conditioning and heating can be used on each of the three floors. Original steel floors and a patchwork of ancient steel railings, which combine the structure with a large dose of contemporary art.
