Never ever take this apartment
We had a extremely bad stay.
For virtually the full duration of our stay, the apartment had a strong odor of sulfur and feces. It has truly been unpleasant. If this is a common occurrence, we would have appreciated prior notification, so we could have booked alternative accommodations.
Due to the smell, not only were we forced to spend much more time outside of the apartment than desired, but we have also suffered from recurrent headaches. A local friend who came to pick us up could not believe the smell — or that we would put up with it — when he entered the apartment.
Another issue was the shower low pressure by hot water. There was only a trickle of water coming out of the shower and it was barely possible to regulate the water temperature (we repeatedly showered under cold water).
On top of all of this, the constant noise from construction across the street has made our stay here even more unpleasant. We would have expected and appreciated prior notice about the noise level as well.
All in all, we have been very disappointed with this apartment and feel strongly that the space was misrepresented to us.
I think my request for a price reduction is more than fair and hope we can come to an amicable resolution. If not, we will have to find other ways to raise the issue with Ferienwohnung and warn future customers about issues with this accommodation.
