First off, this house is gorgeous and clearly lovingly restored. It is quite spacious and well-designed. It is remote, but you are probably aware of that. The kitchen has lots of cooking equipment and there is wood for an outdoor grill adventure. It’s a great place for some peace and quiet. Portugal Active was responsive with questions.
There are a few negatives, but these are easily corrected and I would absolutely return regardless.
Directions to the house don’t specify that you need to drive down a very narrow stone walled driveway. Our car was on the larger side but barely fit.
There is no house manual to let you know where things are, what the Wi-Fi is, any local attractions, and things you should be aware of.
Besides olive oil, salt, and a couple of herbs, there is pretty much nothing in the house. We couldn’t find trash bags.
We also needed to set up all the pool chairs and find the cushions in the shed. Living furniture seats a max of 6. There is a gorgeous stone table outside but has the cheapest possible IKEA folding chairs, again to seat 6.
Overall it’s a lovely house, but could use some finesse around the edges.
