About Evy Klassen
I grew up in Burnaby on the top of a hill overlooking the city of Vancouver. We could see skiers on Grouse Mountain through our telescope. So when the time came for our family to move out to the valley, we were spoiled and needed to find land with a view. When my dad spotted this piece of property, he knew this was it. He and my brothers took a year to build a house big enough for each of us and my grandfather to have our own bedrooms. Over the years some of us kids have taken our turns coming back with our young families to live with mom and dad when we needed a space to call home. Then once dad needed to move into a care facility, mom knew she couldn't manage the property on her own yet didn't want to part with the home and view she loved. So it was my turn to come back with Steve and our kids to share the space with my mom. Now she has moved on to a care facility and it's time to share this space and view with you. Although I can no longer see the skiers on Grouse Mountain through my telescope, I can join them in an hours drive from here.
