A major attraction in Figeac is the Champollion Museum, dedicated to the man who unravelled the secrets of the Rosetta Stone, and there is a giant replica of the Rosetta stone which can be visited. L'Habitat makes an excellent base for a couple seeking a base to explore the Lot. Dordogne and Aveyron valleys with historic attractions such as Rocamadour, St Cirq La Popie and more within easy reach.
It's a great place to get the flavour of rural France with weekly markets held in most nearby towns on every day of the week where the finest of produce can be bought direct from the producers.
An added bonus in the winter months is the Truffle markets which are held throughout the Causse de Quercy between November and March.
