Taormina Center
As a couple, we stayed in Taormina for 4 days. Our stay with Marianna was excellent, her place was was smack in the middle of Piazza Duomo, easy walking distance everywhere. Initially a bit difficult to find, even with excellent directions and video. You cannot drive directly there. The flat was spotless and very comfortable with a sunroom directly facing the Piazza and more than average amenities, which included water, orange juice, milk, cereal, coffee, buns and more. We were a bit concerned of the noise but the bedroom appeared to be sound proof, so not an issue.Taormina itself was very quaint and a bit pretentious but we expected that. Even with slightly higher than average prices, we did find some well priced items to purchase as well as some excellent, reasonable restaurants. Marianna was an excellent communicator, assisting us with many things after arrival. Make sure to visit Mount Etna, a MUST! We drove to Taormina, as we were touring throughout Sicily and I would caution anyone driving that parking is very costly, like 20-25Euros per day. This was beyond the control of our host but something you should be cognizant of.
