great relaxing family vacation with puppy

We really enjoyed our stay. We had a puppy with us, that could run through the huge garden which was good fun for us all. The house is cosy and has a fireplace... its really big enough for three kids and two parents. Better than the pictures show you! Our kids loved the house. It was really enjoyable, great if you are looking for a relaxing stay with the family we think.

A lovely, comfortable house in a quiet village

The photos do not do the property justice! The property is charming with all the facilities you could require. We all enjoyed our stay at La Fermette, and found it to be comfortable and relaxing. Carole was helpful from the start, and kept in contact with us at all stages (thank you!). Yes, there was no phone reception but, to the relief of our teenagers, there was wifi!! Rimboval is in easy reach of many places to visit, and we would recommend: Le Touquet, the WW2 cemetary at Etaples, Montreuil, and the Thursday market at Hesdin. I highly recommend this property for a great holiday!

Great for families

We had an amazing time in Rimboval. We stayed in La Fermette and friends in La Ferme. Our teenagers were delighted to have space to themselves but also to chat and play with their friends there. Although they enjoyed the very big garden most of the time, they were stunned by the big playroom in La Ferme. Both houses are extremely well equipped! A variety of shops can be found 10 minutes away by car where you can try your language skills as well as the nicest cakes. There are so many things to do near by but we enormously enjoyed the trip to Le Touquet which has the most wonderful sand beach. Rimboval is the perfect stay for families, especially as it is so close to Calais. We will definitely return soon.

A perfect rural retreat

This 5 star property ticked all the boxes for us. Beautifully decorated, well furnished, perfectly fitted out and clean throughout. The log fire made a magnificent stay even more enjoyable. Have recommended it to friends

My husband and I are semi retired professionals. We bought Rainbow Farm about 17 years ago after purchasing it when it came up for sale after our family had rented it for two years for our holidays. We use it very much as home and have tried to make it as comfortable and well equipped as our UK home. We frequently take groups of friends from our church for short breaks and our annual family holiday get together takes place every Summer.
We enjoy the house in both Summer and Winter. It's good to curl up, after a good French style meal, with a book in front of the log fire and our grand children love it when it snows. The garden is a delight in Summer and we eat on the terrace whenever possible. La Fermette is my husband's dream of a home and he would like to relocate it to the UK.

Why they chose this property

We rented the house for two consecutive years and when it came on the market decided that we would buy it to continue to enjoy it. We live in Kent so its a quick and easy journey for us to get to the farmhouse. We enjoy quiet countryside and like rural French life without the hassle of a long car journey. Our kids all enjoy being able to get there cheaply and quickly and with a car full of young children there's no stress on the short journey. We are still finding things to do in the area and are never bored.

What makes this property unique

With a growing family of grand children we enjoy the space of the house and garden. We like to take groups of friends for weekends and for us the journey is so quick and easy. I do not want to spend many hours in a car driving through France to get further south to a crowded beach when the beaches on the coast nearby are fabulous.
