About this property

SeaHill Cottage is very charming, just 20 meters from the pebble beach, surrounded by banana plantations and waterfalls.. It is a typical house located in the colourful village of Madalena do Mar, where you can experience the traditional Madeirian life.

The Cottage is fully equipped for long stays with induction hob, refrigerator, oven, microwave, toaster, kettle, Nespresso machine, smart TV and public outdoor parking (free).

Go up to the terrace and enjoy the view of the waterfalls and banana plantations, relax while taking in the sun´s rays or simply reading a book. Sit on the beach for a breathtaking sunset or walk on the promenade and discover the local restaurants.

Home-sweet-Home-Bungalow

Die renovierte Wohnung ist top, schön gestaltet und man hat alles was man braucht. Der Ort ist ziemlich abseits. Einen Mietwagen ist empfehlenswert um die Umgebung und die Insel zu erkunden. Ca 7 km entfernt gibt es einen Einkaufszentrum und Gegenüber einen tollen Sandstrand.

Nice apartment next to the sea

It was a quiet place where you can listen to the sound of the sea. The cleaning service came too early before our check-out time at 11 o’clock.

Cute cottage amazing value for money

We stayed for a week and it was perfect for us. Traditional local community that was full of character, moments from the beach. It was like stepping back in time. Friendly local bar a few houses away that served beers, coffee and pastries. Everyone seems to congregate on the sea wall at sunset every night. Terrace was wonderful with 'Jurassic' views of the banana plantations and rockface - like another world. Plus it got the sun until late afternoon. Wifi was strong enough for us to work. Beautifully decorated, we had everything we needed for a week. The only thing that would stop us staying for longer would be the lack of washing machine - but wouldn't have expected that in a small place. Having the cot up and made and the high chair out - while great if you had kids - made space so tight. We couldn't get into the bed so had to take it down immediately. It would be good if that was optional - not assumed. We would definitely have preferred the extra space for just the two of us. Likewise with the pull out bed in the second room.

Perfect little house

A perfect little house, very clean and fully equipped. Located between Ponta do Sol and Calheta, it’s a very nice and quiet place from where you can ideally visit the island. If you don’t feel like driving, there are a few places you can go eat along the beach within 15 minutes. On top of that, the beach where you can enjoy the sunset is only 30 seconds away from the door. I highly recommend and I will definitely be back!
