Overall good - just a couple of minor issues

The property was perfectly located close to the seafront and pier as promised - a 5 min walk to seafront and further10 mins to pier. Stayed with my sister. Joining instructions were very clear and easy to follow. The room was large, bright and airy. Bedlinen and towels beautifully clean with microwave and fridge installed in the room. Room was clean and the wifi was spot on. Only slight issues - There was only one chair to sit on - ok for a short while, but not good on the back to be sat on a bed for any length of time. Our room was not serviced over the weekend. Not normally a problem - but we were only left one cheap toilet roll - with us both being middle aged women - this meant that we had to go out and buy some more. It would be great to have a couple of glasses in the room - for cleaning teeth and taking pills - and also cold drinks (of any sort) We couldn't find the TV remote - not major, but it did make finding something to watch tricky. It would have been good to have had a couple of plates and a bit of cutlery. We couldn't use the microwave, because we had no means of eating what we might cook. Finally - the windows - one was sealed shut - and the central biggest one was a struggle to open and took both of us to close it. The only option was use the other side window for ventilation - however, we couldn't leave it open at night as we were in the basement room - which could be clearly seen and accessed from the road above and was easily big enough for someone to climb in if they so desired. We did not feel safe sleeping with it open. It was therefore very hot sleeping in a room, where we couldn't get any ventilation. Might be good to insert 2 screws in the frame so the window can only be open enough to let some air in.

not the best experience

did not stay in accommodation booked due to some sort of issue which seemed fishy from the start so rather than a family room we had two seperate rooms which meantion my husband or myself stayed on our own as we could not leave a 10 year old alone in different room . pre booked parking so it was with the accommodation but after the move this was not the case. we even could not use the pre booked parking on our last day as it had been double booked by the management and someone else was parked there. the staff who seemed very confused about their own bookings offer to pay for our extra parking which as yet has not been refunded. the rooms were good but alot of messing about. soured our trip

It was a great location. Room was big and fridge was a bonus. The front door and handle were very worrying- door was not a good fit and the handle needs replacing. Never quite sure whether it was locked or not. Bathroom door was not a good fit and the other door didn’t have a handle.

A different property

An awful experience. The apartment is not the same one as the photos, it's not two bedrooms as stated and is horriblly dated with pretty much everything broken. Have been trying to engage with Hotels.com sonce the moment I walked through the door yet I cannot get through. Do not stay here until the property details and photos are updated to reflect the reality.

Not anything like description or images

Bitterly disappointed :-( Booked a 2 bedroomed apartment but, on arrival, had just 1 bedroom. Representative attended and confirmed booking mistake and description was misleading. The images were also nothing like those advertised (décor is tired and not fresh as the photos show) Representative confirmed he would arrange a full refund (we had also paid them extra money for 2 nights on site parking) To date, we have only received partial refund of around 2, 3rd's of our costs and after a month, are not responding to emails for the full refund promised. Guessing we will need to recover the outstanding balance from VRBO through their dispute process. (another lot of time to be wasted pursuing this) Like a lot of online things, some are good, some are bad.... these guys are definitely the latter :-( Avoid these guys as “all that glitters is not gold”!!!
