Camberwell is a vibrant community of arts students, young professionals and families. It has numerous cosy pubs, excellent independent eateries, bustling cafes, friendly bars, several parks, grand Edwardian architecture, leafy avenues, and a renovated leisure centre in original, Victorian building complete with a glass-ceilinged swimming pool.
In close proximity to other trendy enclaves Peckham and Brixton.
Make sure you pay a visit to Myatt’s Field, a beautiful, restful park a few minutes’ walk away, with original Victorian bandstand and a fantastic Lottery-funded kids playground.
## Transit
Oval tube station on the Northern line (15 minute walk / 6 mins bus ride, bus stop 30 seconds from flat) - 9 mins to London Bridge, 6 mins to Waterloo
Denmark Hill has trains to Victoria (12 mins); London Bridge, (22 mins, change at Peckham Rye); Farringdon (18 mins) and St Pancras (22 mins).
Overground trains go to Shoreditch High Street and Thameslink runs from Loughborough Junction to Farringdon (15 mins) and St Pancras (20 mins).
Fifteen bus routes pass through the town centre. Camberwell is in Zone 2.
