This private, self-contained, open-concept cottage is perfect for couple getaways. Vaulted ceilings and big west facing windows, create a bright, airy feeling to this spacious view cottage. With both a KING and double beds, it sleeps 2 adults comfortably. The private outdoor deck and large windows offer beautiful ocean views, and the vaulted ceilings add to the spacious feeling.

Enjoy amazing sunsets from your private deck, or our ocean view hot tub. Lounge on our unique beach deck right at the water's edge. There's tidepools to explore, miles of shoreline to walk, an abundance of wildlife from eagles to whales, and marine traffic too! All right in the beachy community of Davis Bay.

Island Vista cottage is NOT pet friendly. This property is not suitable for young children or those with mobility impairments.

There is a beach house on the property with two units. The beach deck and hot tub are shared amenities. Beach access is down a stair path. Our guests are primarily couples looking for a quiet and restful getaway. We do not host groups or events. Registered guests only.

Tranquil peaceful suite with amazing views

We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 day stay at the cottage. The ocean views were spectacular, the suite was spacious and well equipped and the King bed was very comfortable! Our nightly dip in the hot tub overlooking the ocean was a true gem!

Fabulous hideaway

Wonderful little apartment with an incredible view. Everything was very clean and comfortable. Great location for amenities and adventures. We will definitely come back to stay here again.

Beautiful location with beach access and great views

Ian and Linda were lovely hosts. They provided a nice tour of the property and had great suggestions for eats, drinks, hikes and kayak rentals. The property is large with a private deck connected to the suite as well as communal access to a covered hot tub and huge spacious sun deck. We enjoyed happy hour on the sun deck after a jump in the water every day we stayed. Bring river sandals / water shoes as the beach is rocky. The suite is bigger than expected and had everything we needed. Would be back again in a heartbeat!

DO NOT RECOMMEND

This property is falsely advertised and the host (Ian) was very difficult to deal with. Things to note about this listing: 1. It is NOT a cottage. The unit is a suite above a garage. 2. It is NOT a 1 bedroom. It is a bachelor suite with a total open floor plan. 3. The property is on a VERY steep hill with tons of stairs. You will also have to park on this very steep grade which can be tricky depending on what you are driving and your comfort level on steep hills. I can't image the driveway is even useable if it gets wet and/or slippery. Be careful! 4. It is a construction zone. The host, Ian, is upgrading the property and there are piles of nails and screws everywhere. 5. The host, Ian, will be present all the time! He doesn't live on the property but he is always there and interacting with guests so if you are looking for a quiet get away, this is not it. 6. The host will charge you an extra charge upon check in claiming it is for taxes. Be prepared to pay more then what you paid on VRBO. 7. The host, Ian, is extremely petty! We left a couple dishes in the sink when we checked out and he claimed we left a mess and broke his umbrella; which we never did. It was just an old, poorly constructed umbrella but he felt the need to accuse us of breaking it. Overall, Ian's listing is way over priced and not worth the hassle. As the host, Ian, was unreasonable, unpleasant to deal with and just plain petty. I would not recommend this property to anyone!

Very comfortable and roomy with an ocean view

Location very nice and secluded…view excellent…Bed very comfortable ….. We noticed a few areas that could have been cleaned better since we pay for a cleaning service. Especially in the Restroom under the TP roll.

Absolutely stunning

Not only was the host very personable, but the cottage we stayed in was perfect. It and the hot tub had a great view of the ocean. Perfect for viewing the sunsets. Perfect nature get away. Would definitely reccomend!

Amazing birthday getaway

Ian and Linda were amazing hosts, very welcoming, accommodating and easy to talk to. Our cottage was absolutely beautiful with the most mesmerizing views and very nicely equipped. The whole property is stunning, the beach deck where we sat and enjoyed the waves during the storm, the hot tub where we watched our sunsets and the eagles fly. I also went for couple of nice swims in the ocean and the water was so relaxing. There is many stunning beaches and hiking trails close by and couple of nice local restaurants with the great food are just around the corner. We are super happy with our stay and are already planning our next getaway to this beautiful place! Thank you so much Ian and Linda for making this birthday getaway the one to remember! See you soon!

Mesmerizing views!

My friend and I had an amazing weekend relaxing at Ian and Linda’s property. Ian was so lovely and welcoming when we arrived. He gave us great recommendations for restaurants, activities, and the best place to launch my paddle board. The cottage was very clean and well laid out. We had everything we needed. The views from all 3 decks were unbelievable. Lots of stairs to get to the bottom deck but well worth it. A bit steep if you have any issues with your knees or ankles. Linda was also very friendly. We went to Tuwanek on her recommendation and it was one of the most beautiful places I’ve paddled. I would come back during any season to enjoy the views of the ocean. Thank you Ian and Linda!

Enjoyable, but...

My son and I came for summer wind-down and the place was great. Unfortunately, however, the owners "closed" the hot tub to us during our stay, so it wasn't everything we hoped for...we were both very disappointed. Had I known it was going to be an issue, I would have booked somewhere else.

Great location. Direct views of the ocean and sunset. Great suite, very clean.

Up on the cliff side, so the walk back from the beach is up some pretty steep stairs. The beach itself is rocks and not easily walkable. The facilities are very nice and well taken care of. A hot tub with a view of the ocean and sunset was a highlight for sure. Suite suitable for a couple or with a child. Full kitchen and very comfortable beds. We enjoyed our stay very much.
