Our rooms are furnished with locally made English Oak furniture crafted by local Yorkshire family businesses, Robert Thompson (“Mouseman”) and Beaver Furniture; and luxurious Sanderson soft furnishings. The room has recently benefited with the addition of an arm chair and chaise longue. The Hurworth is extremely well appointed with a Harrison Spinks kingsize bed (made in Yorkshire) and British made Baavet duvet and pillows. Facilities include TV/DVD and Roberts Radio sound system with alarm, mini fridge with fresh milk and a hospitality tray with kettle. We are licensed, champagne flutes and wine glasses will be provided on purchasing from our in-house wine list.

Woodlands Farm is a Grade II Listed former Farmhouse set in the hamlet of Thimbleby on the edge of the stunning North York Moors National Park. The popular walkers village of Osmotherley is just over a mile away with pubs, a cafe and a village store. Guests can enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Yorkshire countryside and walk part of the Cleveland Way or enjoy a meal at one of the local pubs. Mount Grace Priory run jointly by the National Trust/English Heritage is 3 miles away. Because we are on the western edge of the North York Moors we are at the heart of visiting various Yorkshire attractions with the Yorkshire Coast, the historic City of York and the Yorkshire Dales are all less than an hour away by car. We are in Herriot Country for fans of All Creatures Great and Small, with the World of James Herriot in Thirsk a short drive from here. Northallerton is our nearest town with trains direct to and from London Kings Cross and Scotland.

Our rooms are converted from stables with traditional oak trusses. Furnished with English oak furniture made by local craftsmen from Beaver Furniture and Robert Thompsons, 'Mousemen', look out for the signature small carvings of Mice and Beavers in the rooms. Our beds are made in Yorkshire, the filling in the mattresses come the wool from sheep farmed at a 300 acre farm in North Yorkshire. Our duvets and pillows are British made using natural materials. All rooms have a flat screen TV/DVD, Roberts Radio Sound System, Tea/Coffee Making Facilities, Free Wifi and a Fridge/Mini Bar with fresh milk. We are Licensed and have a wine and Yorkshire beer list.

Guests are greeted with a warm welcome by owner Paul Callin. We serve a delicious cooked breakfast with plenty of choices to meet dietary and allergy needs from the hearty full English, smoked salmon to homemade pancakes with a choice of toppings. Please get in touch if you need advice on eating out, visitor attractions or anything which will make your stay enjoyable.

Outstanding; peaceful location; easy access to the Moors and Dales; beautiful rooms; helpful hosts.
3 night stay en route home from Scotland to break the journey. Lovely spotless rooms. Paul could not have been more helpful. Great breakfasts, with the full Yorkshire especially nice and really well cooked. A days walking on the Moors and a look around the Dales. Some nice pubs within easy reach with reasonable food on offer.

Great Host, Great accommodation and great breakfast.
Paul could not do enough for us,he was very helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble for him. The room was large, the bed was comfy and we slept well. The room was very clean and the bed linen was of a very good quality. The breakfast was excellent and we appreciated the coffee and cake on arrival. We would definitely return as we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
