Absolutely amazing!
I think this has recently been taken over by new management as there are a lot of new lodges here. Site manager Gary is an absolute star! We stayed with 2 kids and a baby and everything was spot on! Highly recommend!!!

The property it’s self was well equipped and laid out. Would struggle to have 8 adults in there. Even 6 would be a tight squeeze. We arrived and had no instructions on what to do upon arrival, so we looked for cabin 8 and found the key in the door so assumed that’s how it was supposed to be. No information pack inside the accommodation - this would have been useful for how to work the oven in particular.. No WiFi but we didn’t go there with the intention of needing it - or if it is there, again no info on how to access it. There was no bin bags left for us in the property, there was however dishwasher tabs, cloths and a towel. Also emergency iron and hair dryer if needed. Most pots and pans etc available - no oven dish so pack that if required, and the fridge is small. We brought 2 main meals, a Lunch meal and things for breakfast, as well as a couple of drinks and the fridge was full - only a small freezer drawer too. The floor was really bitty and needed sweeping when we arrived, also some old egg yolk on one of the cupboard doors, one of the toilets also looked like it had recently been used (not by us) as there was tissue in it and some stains still on it… this wasn’t the best start but after a little clean around ourself it was fine. Much to our surprise the hot tub was actually immaculate. It is a self filtering one and seemed clean - if anything a little too much chlorine, but atleast it made it feel more on the cleaner side. Definately take bug spray. Soooooo many midgies, flies and Jimmy spinners around. Particularly in the bathrooms - no matter how much doors and windows are shut! All in all it looks similar to the pictures, however no real decking space. Small patio/walk way to the entrance then a gravelled drive with hot tub and picnic bench as well as a bbq. Hot tub is overlooked by next doors lodge, lucky for us we had nobody either side. Ours was the only one not fenced off at the back, so we did have nice views, but as I said, little to no privacy. Pub on site does not appear to be a pub anymore, or wasn’t open during our stay (tues-Friday) again information about this or near by places would have been useful. On day 2 someone did come to check we’d arrived and how we’d gotten in - just seems a real lack of communication/ professionalism maybe?! It looks like it’s just getting going.. which to be fair it’s going well.. We enjoyed our stay, but could have been a little better.
