Good basic accommodation
This property is fine for a short term stay but lacked certain amenities to facilitate a comfortable longer stay. Good points: Good location with easy access to the M6 and surrounding areas Close to a large park Lots of supermarkets nearby Beds are comfortable Ample wardrobes in each bedroom Kitchen is reasonably well appointed with cutlery and crockery. Central heating is very efficient The internet access is absolutely top notch when connected via Ethernet and reasonable in the bedrooms and living room. Doesn’t quite reach to the kitchen. Inconveniences/bad points: Overall odour of old tobacco throughout the whole downstairs, most strongly by the under stairs cupboard especially upon first entering and in the warmer weather No vacuum cleaner No mop or broom ( purchased a mop which I left in the property) No toilet brush The most uncomfortable couch I have ever sat on. We had one of the spare duvets folded into fourths on top of it to make it more comfortable No bedside tables in any of the bedrooms No airer to dry clothes inside ( a necessity in the uk really) The addition of kitchen items such as a cutlery tray, chopping boards and colander would definitely be an improvement. No access to recycling bin. No clothing hangers in the wardrobes (purchased and left in the property) Overall it served its purpose as a base for myself and my son to stay in over the summer. I was able to buy or borrow all the things I felt I needed to facilitate my stay but others may not be able to do the same.
