Located in an ideal position at the end of a quiet road, just a short distance from a supermarket, restaurants, blue flag beaches and San Jaimie Golf Course, this is where you will find the delightful and affectionately named, 'Villa Gecko'. Newly available for holiday rental.

This beautiful 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom villa is set amongst mature and well maintained Mediterranean gardens, with palm trees, flowers, and even an artificial grass bowling area. The Private 8 x 4 swimming pool with roman steps, is surrounded by sunny terraces with good quality sunbeds, a built in charcoal BBQ, and a charming covered terrace with calm lighting for the warm summer evenings, an ideal area to enjoy dining and relaxing Al Fresco, or maybe breakfast poolside under the shade. On the upper level terrace you can enjoy being top of the world, with a nice sea view to add to its charm. At the front of the villa is a good sized Spanish Naya, a nice shaded area with a cooling sea breeze in the summer.

Parking is easy, as you have space for two cars behind this gated and secure plot surrounding Villa Gecko.

Inside the villa you will find a good sized living room, dining area, large open plan kitchen, 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
Two bedrooms have double beds (150 x 200 cm), including the master bedroom which also has a modern en-suite, newly refurbished, shower room with sink and toilet. The third bedroom has 2 single beds. All bedrooms have full hot and cold air conditioning , mosquito nets, shutters and fitted wardrobes.
The large family bathroom has a shower, double sinks, toilet, and washing machine.
The kitchen is fully equipped with an oven, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, coffee machine, kettle and microwave,

The villa is well equipped with all of the necessary electrical appliances, WIFI, satellite TV (with English channels, USB portal and HDMI ports) and a DVD/Blu Ray player with an extensive number of DVDs available also for children.

Villa Gecko, is also perfect for your winter holiday too, enjoying all day sun from dawn to dusk due its South facing orientation, with central heating for the colder winter evenings. When the Gas Central Heating is used there is a charge of 4.50€ per cubic meter used.

Fantastic Villa

We have just returned from an amazing fortnight in Villa Gecko. The Villa was as lovely as the pictures look. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you could possibly need and there is ample space in all of the rooms. The pool is cleaned regularly and the gardens are well looked after. Paula, the manager, is always on hand and dealt with any queries immediately. The Villa is located in a quiet area, a 10 minute walk from numerous restaurants and bars - all of which were friendly. Our favourite restaurants are Maxim, BB80 and Guras. The main town and marina are about 5 mins away in the car and about 40 on foot but plenty of places to stop and admire the views on the way. We have fallen in love with the Villa and the resort and will definitely be returning.

Lovely villa in beautiful location!

Villa Gecko was really well equipped, particularly in the kitchen and we appreciated the washing machine as we travelled there with just a rucksack each. The pool was the warmest we’ve ever experienced and we spent all of our time outside. We felt that the outside area could do with a bit of updating and have passed those comments back. Paula the villa manager was brilliant from before we arrived, checking our arrival details and was there to meet us, very easy to get in touch with her and she responded very quickly when we did. We didn’t hire a car and the supermarket was just 10 minutes away - I wish our local supermarket was as good - fab fresh bread, pastries and meat and fish counters! We ate at Maxims twice and would thoroughly recommend- if it was at home we would be there frequently! Also had a great meal at Die Kleine Weltlaterne. All in all we had a wonderfully relaxing week with loads of sun and would go back!

We sayed for a week in the villa as my son was getting married and was close to hotel that guest were stopping so was great location for that.Communication with paula was great, villa was amazing and the pool was a good size too. Air-conditioning in bedrooms but not main area but that didn't cause any problems. The only downside is you can't leave any rubbish and have to take it behind the supermarket to the rubbish bins which is a 5-10 min walk. It is about 20 min walk to some great restaurants and a good 45 mins into town. Taxi's arent great, bit of advice, if you want a taxi make sure you pre book at least an hour before otherwise you could be waiting a long time. All in all our stay was amazing and the kids loved it, would defo stay again.

Lovely Villa with amazing outdoor space.

We stayed at the villa as a family of 5, all kids over the age of 18. The outdoor space is amazing, you can always find some sunshine or some shade. The pool is a great size and was cleaned regularly. The view from the terrace/pool area to the sea is gorgeous. Although you have villas around you it was totally private and very quiet. The kitchen/living room space was fine for what we needed as we spent most of the time outside. The kitchen was well equipped although would have been nice to have more modern coffee making facilities. The bedrooms and bathrooms were as expected, we were missing a bath mat but that problem was soon rectified by the property manager. The beds aren’t particularly comfortable but I guess that is personal preference. There is a lovely supermarket within walking distance and many restaurants too but if you want to get into the centre of Moraira I would recommend a car as it’s about a 40 minute walk. The property manager was very helpful providing lots of information on local beaches to visit and the best local markets etc. Also had good restaurant recommendations. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the villa and would be tempted to return.

Lovely villa and location, but a few management issues

On arrival, a friendly greeting from our host, Paula. There was a musty smell in the villa, and we were told it had been shut up for a while, so if that was the case it should have been aired before our arrival. The villa itself was perfect - easy access to shops, supermarket, bars and restaurants. Lovely pool which was spotlessly clean, so no complaints at all about the villa. A few other issues however: dirty kitchen hob, which neede cleaning before use (also mentioned by a previous renter), and a dirty and stained kitchen sink, which we cleaned, and some dirty cups in the cupboard. Some mould in the family bathroom, which we managed to reduce: this was not on the door, but in the grout. Patches of mud on the patio around the pool, which were told was due to ‘Sahara Rain’. Broken parasol on the pool area, and two broken wooden stools that were rotten and potentially very dangerous; they should have been removed before we arrived. Rusty nail heads protruding from patio dining table which we hammered in before they caused injury. There was a broken bucket and mop left outside the kitchen door, and clothes pegs left submerged in dirty water in a container. Our host did respond quickly to our issues, but they should have been rectified before any guests arrived, and our impression was that the villa was not ready for guests. It had not been properly checked. We still loved the Villa and area, and enjoyed the pool.

Moraira offers an excellent variety of sports activities, including jet ski hire, water skiing, deep sea fishing, diving tuition and equipment hire, tennis courts, a golf course, mini golf, and mountain bike hire. For children there are specially designed park areas to play safely.
Alternatively for a great day out visit, Terra Mitica, Terra Natura, Aqualandia, Mundomar, Font D'Algar or even Valencia for its shopping and culture.
