The apartment is located in a quiet suburb in the city enter. It is a short walk to the Varosliget City park which contains the Széchenyi Thermal Bath, Heroes Square, Contemporary and Fine Art Museums and the Budapest Zoo. The Varosliget is also quite large so you can easily catch on of many buses for a short ride if you don’t feel like walking.
Across the road from a SPA Supermarket, the apartment has several nice restaurants nearby. The Olympia restaurant for fine dining and Paprika for the best traditional Hungarian food in Budapest. The Arena shopping mall is also walkable or reachable by taking a short bus ride.
The apartment is located in one of best-connected locations in Budapest. You are a short walk from two of the main metro lines, and many of the main bus lines, a hop on and off bus station and the airport train connection. You are also a short walk from the main international and regional railway station in Budapest is the Budapest-Keleti pályaudvar (Budapest-Eastern Railway Terminal). It is located on the Rákóczi Avenue. The railway station, built in 1884, is named after the eastern (keleti) direction with Romania and the Balkans.
Budapest-Keleti pályaudvar railway station is also a station of the M2 (East-West) line of the Budapest Metro. Future projects include a connection with the Line 4 of the Budapest Metro. A majority of Intercity trains arrives at the Budapest-Eastern Railway Terminal and most international trains also serves the railway station.
From Budapest-Keleti pályaudvar railway station, the following international destinations can be reached by train: Graz, Vienna (Austria), Sofia, Varna (Bulgaria), Split, Zagreb (Croatia), Prague (Czech Republic), Berlin, Hamburg, München (Germany), Venice (Italy), Warsaw (Poland), Bratislava (Slovakia), Ljubliana (Slovenia), Zürich (Switzerland) and Istanbul (Turkey)
The Budapest-Keleti pályaudvar railway station is connected with the Budapest Liszt Ferenc International Airport thanks to a fast train service. However, the connection is not complete so I recommend the official taxi for approximately 25 euros.
