The apartment
Giardino apartment is basically the penthouse of the building. The elevator will take you from the ground floor straight up to the 3rd floor where you will find the Giardino apartment, the only apartment on the floor.
Entering the apartment, one will take the strong feeling of a historic place. And indeed it is. The new owners decided to keep their original character. And that is the reason for combining new and old.
The large space on the right-hand side accommodates the dining area and the living room where a classic fireplace dominates the space. The two brown sofas can be converted into single beds and give the chance for two more guests to be welcomed.
Going further into the apartment, there is the kitchen. Very well equipped, with lots of cabinets preserving the classic style.
Two comfortable bedrooms with large closets and direct access to the balcony. The first bedroom has a queen-size bed while the second one has two single beds. A baby cot is also available (free of charge) and can be added to the bedrooms with single beds. Right opposite there is the full bathroom with a bathtub and the washing machine.
One of the biggest advantages of the property is the separate room that is used as an in-home office where one can work without interruption and can be isolated.
But what makes the apartment stand out is the large balcony that embraces it around, offering plenty of views of the municipal garden and the old town of Rethymnon. Its spacious balcony leads to a lovely, unique terrace with breathtaking views of the Fortress.
