About this property

Marseillaise House+Camping+Incredible Views+Private

Disconnect in our Marsellesa House that is located in a remote 14-acre field in Barrio Tetuán 3 of the town of Utuado Puerto Rico, at about 2,600 feet in elevation at Finca Las Puertas De San Pedro, where coffee and other fruits are grown. Away from the noise, surrounded by nature, incredible views and peace. 30 minutes from Jayuya PR, full of history, restaurants, bars and much more.

Inside the house can comfortably sleep 3 people. It has a Queen bed and a Twin bed located in the main room. The large sofa is also comfortable, it can sleep one person. It can be extended up to 5 people, adding an inflatable mattress for an additional cost. There is also a camping space which, if available, for an additional cost, can be used to pitch tents. Do you like this part? ask us for more.

It is not a new house and you will find details in its floors, walls and other parts. We take care of its preparation and cleaning, which is meticulous and very careful. It is our country house and we habitually inhabit it since our immediate family lives on the farm, so we are very attentive to small details. Even so, every day we learn from the suggestions of the guests and we are improving.

Paradise in the sky - paraíso en el cielo
It was a perfect getaway from the city and busyness of life. The beauty that surrounds the place is a reminder that there's more in life. The scenery is mesmerizing reminding you to relax. Despite being in one location it seems the scenery changes every hour. The place was properly named "The gates of St. Peter- Las puertas de San Pedro" because you feel so close to heaven. My wife is a painter and she said she was inspired to paint right away. Because of the altitude, I would suggest to be prepared for the sudden changes in weather conditions. The place is perfect, it had everything we needed. You have the option of cooking inside or grilling outside. Everything was clean and in order. The hosts were very receptive and available to answer questions and offer suggestions. We were able to meet Madeline and she was gracious enough to give us a tour of the property and the history of their plantation, as well as sharing some fruits that were growing. The only drawback from our visit was that we went there from Sunday to Tuesday and every restaurant in the area was closed Mon and Tue during dinner hours. Fortunately there is an Econo supermarket in town and we were able to buy supplies and prepare our meals. Jesús provides excellent instructions on how to arrive to the property and places to visit in the area. My wife has requested for us to return for a few days on our next trip to the island. Highly recommended.
