Great location
This property was located very near St Stephen’s Gardens bus stop, which made exploring London very easy. Key pickup/drop-off was a quick walk. Linens were clean, beds were comfortable, kitchen had all the necessities. We did not have hot water for the first three days of our stay, but once it was fixed our stay was great. The location was fantastic. Great cafe a couple doors down with great coffees/pastries that we picked up every morning. Safe area.

Great location.
We loved this little apartment and neighbourhood. La Boutika next door is great for morning coffee eight days a week, and we loved the proximity to so many gluten free options and the underground. The flat was clean and comfortable, and the kitchen had all we needed. BUT there is water damage in the bathroom and one of the bedrooms with mildew on the walls and baseboards that needs to be fixed. I’m extremely allergic and needed to take antihistamines. I would rent again as long as it was fixed.

A spacious flat in a family-friendly neighborhood
This beautifully located flat easily accommodated three adults and one child (age 7). It was in walking distance to multiple subway lines making trips to all the London sites a breeze. There is a delicious bakery a few doors down, and the neighborhood felt extremely safe (we did multiple nighttime walks and never had any issues). Highly recommend.

Great flat! BAD smell.
I usually don’t leave long reviews on VRBO. In the past 10 plus years of using VRBO, the rentals have been straightforward and as advertised. The owners have been great about addressing issues. However, this time, not so much. Let’s start with the good. We arranged to have an early check in and it was fine. The City Relay representative met us at the door, walked us through the basics and made sure we noted the things he had marked as either broken or damaged. The apartment itself was attractive, with beautifully refinished floors, tall ceilings, big double sashed windows and right in the middle of the neighborhood that we wanted. The beds were comfortable, and there were plenty of bath towels. I was surprised to find clothing in the drawers and closet of one of the bedrooms, and I was surprised there wasn’t a coffee maker other than Nespresso. But City Relay assured me that a coffee maker and/or a French press wasn’t included in the description. (We bought a French press and left it.) And then. It began. The first evening we were there, we returned from dinner to the pervasive odor of cannabis. I’m not talking about a slight odor. I’m saying it was completely overwhelming. We had looked for a fan earlier that day but had been told that a fan was not included in the amenities of the apartment. We didn’t expect air conditioning, but a fan? And with how hot it had been in London in the previous weeks, we were surprised. We immediately let City Relay know through the WhatsApp as

Nice apartment, great location!
We had a great time staying in this apartment. It was a good size for a family of 4, the kitchen was well equipped for simple cooking, and it was nice to have the little outdoor area available. The location was especially excellent, with lots of restaurants and shops nearby, good transit links to other areas, and Kensington Gardens an easy 10 minute walk away. We would definitely stay here again!
