Clipper 22 - an airstream that sleeps 2 guests

Have an experience of a lifetime when you stay in this refurbished vintage 1950s American Airstream, complete with a sauna! Nestled behind the pretty Wellington Parade in Kingsdown, this sheltered spot allows you to access the beach in seconds, and you can hear the waves from your comfy holiday home.

The Airstream is equipped for basic meals with a dining area to the front, and the large bed doubles up as a lounging space with cushions and throws. Outside is a private shingle garden with a bistro table and chairs and a BBQ. Also in the garden is the bespoke building housing the sauna and shower room.

The area is great for exploring, and a not to be missed experience is the Zetland Arms located on the beach a short walk away. In the other direction is a lovely coastal walk through Walmer and on to the historic Georgian town of Deal. The owners can arrange paddle board and swim shoe hire, as well as bike hire on request.

Vintage caravan needs more TLC to make it ok

When we arrived the lockbox cover was off and there was a lot of foliage round it. When you enter the caravan there is an electric switch on the left, but it doesn't turn anything on. When I rang the owner she explained you have to turn on each light by a switch on it, including crawling across the bed to turn that one on. The loo is in an outside shed which wd have been ok but the toilet seat was broken, making it difficult to sit on it. When we went out for a meal it was very difficult to lock the door as the handle goes round 360 degrees. You can shut & put a bolt across from inside but when outside we had to prop the door open with the steps. The location is great & it could be a nice stay but definitely needs some serious maintenance carried out
