Rear garden with courtyard, sitting-out area and garden furniture. Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking. . Two couples or a small family will be in heaven at this gorgeous rural retreat. It is surrounded by glorious, unspoilt Suffolk countryside, all waiting to be explored. The delightful Church Garden Cottage is a former stable which has been transformed with brilliant design and style into a very comfortable, luxurious holiday home. The delightful Suffolk village of Barrow is on the doorstep with a pub where you will find roaring log fires and upmarket indoor and outdoor seating, and the food is delicious. A stone’s throw away from the cottage is The Playground, an outdoor assault course and in nearby Kennett, Phoenix Cycleworks has an exhilarating bike park, full of jumps and bumps.

Nearby Ickworth Park and Anglesey Abbey, both National Trust-owned country houses, provide picturesque parkland and gardens. Bury St Edmunds, with the fascinating ruins of Bury St Edmunds Abbey Gardens just next to the Cathedral, with beautiful grounds, just right for a picnic in the sunshine. Enjoy fine dining in a wide range of eateries, or a night at the movies in the independent Picture House or Cineworld. Drive a little further and you will step back in time in Lavenham, considered to be one of Britain’s best preserved medieval villages. Over 300 buildings are listed as being of architectural and historic interest. Wandering along narrow lanes, past timber-framed houses and the stunning Guildhall, you’ll find antique shops, galleries and cafés. Newmarket, just 8 miles to the west, is home to the National Horse Racing Museum and Links Golf Club. It has leading supermarkets and a variety of traditional eateries to fuel your day.
